Inviting Children to Worship Jesus
“Children’s Church”
(During 10:30am Worship)
Children worship through play, laughter, and relationships. During our 10:30am worship service, children begin worship with their families, and then after the first hymn and a brief “children’s sermon,” kids are invited to the classroom behind the sanctuary where Ms. Nikki leads the kids in worship, along with volunteers from the congregation. There, children worship with their own music, forms of prayer, and games/crafts tailored to the same message as their parents! Note: Children will remain with their families on 5th Sundays as they learn to worship with the whole congregation.
“Prayground” - Family Worship Service
3rd Sundays at 9:30am
Worship is an integral part of our relationship with Jesus. So families should have the opportunity to worship together. Beginning September 15th, we will be introducing a new monthly worship service called “Prayground,” designed for children and their families. We hope this will provide an opportunity for the entire family to develop worship practices that last a lifetime!
During worship, children and families will sing and dance to children’s worship music, read Scripture from a Story Bible, engage the story with play, crafts and/or puppets, and pray together by sharing their mad, sad, and glad.
